Appointments

Before booking an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our self-referrals page to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.

How to Request an Appointment

You can make an appointment in the following ways:

The aim of the practice is to provide our patients with easy access to a high quality, personal medical service. To help achieve this, each doctor operates a personal list to ensure, where possible, the continuity of your care.

All of our clinicians’ surgeries are by appointment only. Appointments last for approximately 10 minutes, unless a longer appointment is requested. To enable the reception team to book the appointment with most appropriate clinician, you may be asked to provide brief details of the nature of the problem.

Urgent/Same Day Appointments

Please complete our Get Help for any Health Problem form if you require an urgent or same day appointment. We aim to get back to you within 2 working hours either online, by phone or by face to face.

We will see all patients who have an urgent medical need requiring assessment and treatment on the same day, during our opening hours. This service is provided by a joint doctor and nurse team working together. We are unable to cater for requests to see a particular clinician urgently, as all patients are seen initially by our ‘Same Day Team’.

Arriving For Your Appointment

Please book in using our touchscreen facility near the door, or notify reception staff when you arrive for an appointment.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee to be strictly on time due to the emergency nature of a considerable proportion of our work. We aim to see approximately 75% of patients within fifteen minutes of their appointment time.

Cancelling Your Appointment

If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment, please use our Cancel an Appointment form as soon as possible. If you are cancelling less than 24 hours before your appointment please call reception on 01986 892 055.This allows us to offer the appointment to someone else and maximise valuable clinic time.
