You can request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday) during opening times.

We will respond to requests within 6 working hours.

You can also:

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

We will see all patients who have an urgent medical need requiring assessment and treatment on the same day, during our opening hours. This service is provided by a joint doctor and nurse team working together. We are unable to cater for requests to see a particular clinician urgently, as all patients are seen initially by our same day team.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

All of our clinicians’ surgeries are by appointment only. Appointments last for approximately 10 minutes, unless a longer appointment is requested.

Arriving for your appointment

Please book in using our touchscreen facility near the door, or notify reception staff when you arrive for an appointment.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee to be strictly on time due to the emergency nature of a considerable proportion of our work. We aim to see approximately 75% of patients within fifteen minutes of their appointment time.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

Home visits are made to patients who are too ill to attend the surgery, otherwise a surgery consultation is booked. Please phone the surgery on 01986 892 055 before 10:30am to request a home visit. The receptionist may ask for details of the patient and the problem, so that the urgency of the call can be assessed.

If at all possible, please try to come to the surgery as the doctor can see at least four people in the surgery in the time taken to do one home visit.
