RECENT STAFFING CHANGES

To update everyone on recent changes to staffing at Bungay Medical Practice

This year has brought some pretty significant changes at the surgery.

After approximately a quarter century of dedicated hard work, one of our longstanding clinicians will depart the team.

Dr John Stammers arrived in place of Dr Gerald Townsley in 2001 at Southwold Surgery. His prior life before medicine included being an RAF Nimrod navigator, and John brought so many other skills with him including leadership within health service politics, for example as Chair of the Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group.  He continues to live locally and is perhaps likely to be spotted in retirement with his golf clubs at Southwold Golf club.

We know that all the community will wish him a wonderful retirement.

Bungay Medical Practice has brought in a mixture of new clinicians to guarantee ongoing high standards of care are maintained.

We are delighted to have appointed two new GPs to the practice – Dr Joyce Bloomfield and Dr Rejin Ravindran, who will be starting in the coming weeks as will our new Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, Gemma Keetch.
